The Connexions Service is a universal service that includes targeted intensive support for those in greatest need but offers support, advice and guidance to all young people. Ongoing support for individual young people is available from a Connexions Personal Adviser who co-ordinates services to meet their needs.
Young people have varying needs and many of those benefiting from additional support fall within one or more of the following groups
- school non attenders
- young people not in education, training or employment
- young offenders
- teenage mothers
- care leavers
- black and minority ethnic young people
- asylum seekers
- young people with learning difficulties and disabilities

- employers
- other learning providers
- other partner organisations
