Local teenagers focus on careers at resources exhibition… Better Choices recently held their annual careers resources exhibition inviting students and teachers from local schools, colleges, training providers and partner organisations to attend. Young people are given the opportunity to came along and select which careers resources they want in their schools and colleges, and to find out more about specific career options.

Connexions Employment Assistant Lauren Beaumont-Capps brought along a couple of local young people from Salford to have a look at the careers resources available. This was the first time students Ashleigh and

Shenade were invited to the event to have the opportunity to look at the careers resources available. Ashleigh (aged 16) said, “There are loads of job-specific books here that tell you how to get into different jobs and the skills and qualities that are required”. Shenade (aged 17) said, “Coming along today has really helped me focus on what skills I need to develop”.
